tbh that's me trying to stir shit, but the way we use and interact with ppl online will fundamentally change for the better - and involve the transformation and death of social media as we know it
this is because i've seen so many people try to fill the hole in their lives left by a lack of community irl with community online, and i don't think i've ever seen someone who wasn't deeply hurt that way
alienation under capitalism does this to all of us and it sucks
more friend groups coordinating online, Q&A boards, and event planning
so much less microblogging
monads.online is a community for goth nerds, aka people who are interested in the intersections of math, art, programming, philosophy, and related topics. this does not include your techbro ass. we also enjoy a healthy amount of shitposting. if you are a techno-materialist, technocrat, or some flavor of capitalist, don't even bother applying. if you are interested in an account please fill out an application, detailing why you are interested in joining, what you have to bring to the community, and your prior, if any, accounts on the fediverse.
