Does it make sense that for users, mastodon and pleroma arguably function just as well as twitter does? In some respects they are even superior.

I mean users arent twitter's customers but still twitter is worth BILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

@dankwraith maybe it's because I haven't spent as much time with any other craft but it's pretty wild just how BAD capitalism drives software to be.
