always i am thinking about how nanami and wakaba basically never interact. i don't think nanami is aware of wakaba. they go on a blind date 10 years down the line and nanami is like "oh wow you went to ohtori too that's crazy"
@req i mean basically i think wakaba/nanami is an inversion of the utena/anthy dynamic where the utena-like character is the passive element and the anthy-like character is the active element
@req oh, extremely good point, I think there's a lot to say about how anthy appears to be extremely passive but is actually an active participant "behind the scenes" so to speak, and vice versa for utena. esp. in the black rose arc utena is basically just hanging out and doing duels whenever they pop up
@HoneyMoon she's very much at the mercy of the events and surrounded by a very active active cast, until the very end when she realizes this and tries to invert the trend, failing
